Open daily and featuring an eclectic mix of dining, shopping, entertainment and attractions in a unique open-air setting, the City Market offers visitors a variety of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, specialty groceries, flowers and gift items from nearby farms and around the world.
Steeped in over 150 years of tradition, the City Market offers shoppers the opportunity to purchase the best of the heartland direct from producers. The City Market has an extensive calendar, hosting concerts, festivals and other special events April through December.
The Farmers' Market itself takes place on Saturdays and Sundays with varying hours depending on the season. In the winter months it takes place Saturdays 7 am - 3 pm and in the warmer months it is 6 am - 3 pm. During all times it is Sunday 8 am - 3 pm. The Community Yard Sale takes place every Sunday 9 am - 3 pm and occasionally on Fridays as well (call ahead). The Farmers' Market and Community Yard sale takes place all year long.
During the cold months both of these move into the enclosed heated pavilion. Once it becomes warm the garage doors go up and everything becomes an open air market for the season! You may also purchase tickets at the Midland Theater up until the day of the show (once they go on sale) without a convenience fee. Will Call / Buying tickets the day of the concert:
This will be setup the DAY OF the concert at 5th and Walnut right under the City Market arch. This generally opens at noon the day of the concert. There is no phone for will call & City Market staff will be unable to reach them as well. Ticket holders must go to the will call booth themselves.
Credit Cards are accepted at the ticket booth on the day of the show. There may be a price increase the day of the show. Tickets will not be reserved and shows may sell out.

There is no re-entry into City Market concert events.
